Audio Transcription Expert (Tamil)

The work

You will turn Tamil audio into accurate written transcripts and review the work for quality. You will work with varied accents and dialects, follow project guidelines, and complete independent assignments by agreed deadlines.

• Listen to Tamil audio and create accurate written transcriptions.
• Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, consistency, accuracy, and alignment with project guidelines.
• Annotate language features or nuances in audio data when an assignment requires it.
• Identify unclear audio, discrepancies, and other quality concerns for further review.
• Provide written and verbal feedback or clarification to project coordinators.
• Adapt to changing project needs while managing multiple remote assignments.

What it pays and takes

This is a part-time contractor role for someone who can work carefully and independently on remote assignments. No prior AI experience is required, but Tamil transcription or linguistic annotation experience is useful.

• Pay: $10 to $24 per hour equivalent, paid per task.
• Time: 20+ hours per week.
• Location: Open to candidates in the countries listed for this role.
• Language: Professional fluency in Tamil and English, with strong comprehension of diverse Tamil accents and dialects.
• Requirements: Strong written and verbal communication, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accuracy under time constraints.
• Helpful background: Experience with transcription software, digital collaboration tools, and digital projects.
