The work

You will create original civil and computational engineering problems that reflect real engineering work. Each problem must include a clear statement, a fully verified solution, documented reasoning, and a reproducible final answer.

Your work will support AI training through written examples and evaluations. You will use Python and common engineering libraries to check calculations and validate solutions.

  • Design realistic problems involving analysis, optimization, numerical methods, iterative solutions, or simulation-style calculations.
  • Write clear problem statements and complete, correct solutions.
  • Document the reasoning behind each solution.
  • Use Python with NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar tools to verify engineering results.
  • Review solutions for correctness and reproducibility.

What it pays and takes

This is an intermediate, part-time contractor role for someone with civil engineering knowledge and strong written English. Experience with other technical tools can qualify if you can work effectively in Python for verification.

  • Pay: $15 to $50 per hour.
  • Time: 20+ hours per week.
  • Location: Worldwide.
  • Education: A degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant applied, research, or teaching experience.
  • English: Strong written English at C1 level or higher.
  • Technical skills: Comfortable using Python to validate engineering solutions, including work with NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar libraries.
