The work

You will evaluate AI-generated answers, prompts, explanations, and calculations across electrical engineering. Your reviews will focus on technical accuracy, logical soundness, completeness, clarity, safety, and practical feasibility.

You will also create or challenge realistic engineering scenarios and give structured feedback on how AI should explain assumptions, limitations, safety concerns, professional judgment, and real-world feasibility.

  • Review circuit design and analysis, power systems, power electronics, controls, embedded and digital systems, EMI and EMC, electrical safety, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Check step-by-step solutions for factual errors, invalid models, incorrect units, missing constraints, unsafe recommendations, and incomplete reasoning.
  • Validate engineering calculations, assumptions, limitations, protection approaches, grounding, isolation, and safety implications.
  • Assess topics including circuit behavior, noise, controls, embedded systems, signal processing, instrumentation, automation, and electronics testing.

What it pays and takes

This is a part-time contractor opportunity for an individual electrical engineering specialist. The listed experience level is entry level, but the role requires at least four years of professional electrical engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field.

Strong written reasoning is important because you will need to explain technical errors, assumptions, risks, and improvements clearly.

  • Pay: $40 to $100 USD per hour.
  • Time: 20 or more hours per week.
  • Work type: Contract and part time.
  • Language: English.
  • Location: Applicants may be based in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Cambodia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Philippines, the United States, Timor-Leste, or Vietnam.
  • Experience: At least four years of professional electrical engineering experience in areas such as power systems, power electronics, controls, embedded systems, circuit design, RF, signal processing, instrumentation, automation, or electronics testing.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Knowledge: Circuit analysis, electronics, electromagnetics, signals and systems, controls, grounding, isolation, protection, and EMC or EMI principles.
  • Helpful experience: AI data training, annotation, red-teaming, or reviewing AI-generated technical content.
  • Helpful tools and background: Schematics, SPICE simulation, MATLAB or Simulink, PCB design, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power studies, test reports, engineering standards, advanced degrees, PE or Chartered status, and professional certifications.
