The work
You will create realistic FreeCAD tasks and record yourself completing them on your computer. Your recordings and task notes will show AI models how people complete practical open-source CAD and parametric modeling work.
Each task must be complete, realistic, and easy for reviewers to understand. You will prepare the software and files, complete the workflow, and check the recording and documentation before submitting it.
- Design challenging tasks based on product design, mechanical modeling, technical drawing, or other open-source CAD use cases.
- Install FreeCAD and prepare the required files, assets, reference images, and dimensions before recording.
- Record clear, complete FreeCAD workflows on your computer.
- Document the task goal, context, steps, dimensions, files, and other useful notes.
- Work with sketches, constraints, parametric features, workbenches, technical drawings, exports, assemblies, or troubleshooting when relevant.
- Review each recording and task document for completeness, clarity, realism, and alignment with project guidelines.
What it pays and takes
This is an entry-level, part-time contractor role, but you need hands-on FreeCAD experience and a strong understanding of common CAD workflows. You must be able to work independently and deliver consistent quality in a remote workflow across time zones.
- Pay: $20 per hour.
- Time: 20 or more hours per week.
- Work arrangement: Remote contractor role.
- Eligible locations: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, and Pakistan.
- Language: English at B2 level or higher.
- Experience: Hands-on use of FreeCAD for parametric modeling, sketching, constraints, technical drawings, exports, or related CAD work.
- FreeCAD knowledge: Sketcher, constraints, Part Design, Part workbench, bodies, sketches, pads, pockets, booleans, TechDraw, and file exports.
- Technical ability: Install and open programs, manage files, use software interfaces, and record computer workflows.
- Work style: Careful, reliable, self-directed, and able to check recordings and documentation in detail.
