The Work

You will create realistic computer-based tasks that help advanced AI models learn practical image-editing workflows. You will prepare images and other assets, complete the editing work in GIMP, document the process, and record your computer workflow.

Each task should reflect a real photo-editing or graphic-design situation. You will prepare the files, references, fonts, and other resources before recording, then review the recording and documentation for accuracy, completeness, realism, and alignment with project guidelines.

  • Create tasks involving cropping, resizing, retouching, color correction, layers, masks, selections, text overlays, transparency, filters, exports, background removal, and graphic edits.
  • Prepare images and assets for web or social media use.
  • Write clear task goals, materials, steps, and expected results so each workflow is understandable and reproducible.
  • Use GIMP tools for layers, masks, selections, color adjustments, text, transparency, filters, compositing, retouching, and export formats.
  • Record complete computer workflows and check the finished recordings and documentation for quality.

What It Pays and Takes

This is a remote contractor and part-time role for people who can work independently and communicate clearly in English. The role is listed as entry level, but you need hands-on experience with GIMP and its core image-editing workflows.

  • Pay: Up to $15 USD per hour.
  • Time: 20 or more hours per week.
  • Location: Remote, open to candidates in Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan.
  • Language: B2-level English or higher.
  • Experience: Hands-on GIMP experience with image editing, photo correction, graphic editing, retouching, layers, masks, selections, or exports.
  • Skills: Ability to design realistic tasks, manage image files, prepare a reliable work environment, and record computer workflows.
  • Personal strengths: Strong attention to detail, consistent quality, reliable self-direction, and clear written communication.
  • Helpful background: Graphic design, photography, marketing, content creation, social media, administration, or education.
