Language Specialist (Malayalam)

The work

You will review AI-generated Malayalam text and judge whether it is accurate, fluent, clear, culturally appropriate, and suitable for the requested audience. You will also write improved versions and model answers that show the quality the system should produce.

The work includes evaluating multiple responses, checking claims when needed, and identifying language or safety problems. You will adapt writing for formal and informal audiences and different regional contexts.

• Review Malayalam AI outputs for grammar, spelling, tone, meaning, fluency, and cultural fit.
• Write precise feedback, rewrites, and high-quality Malayalam answers.
• Compare responses and rate fluency, fidelity, tone, safety, and overall quality.
• Find mistranslations, awkward literal wording, unsupported claims, bias, hallucinations, and policy-risk language.
• Check whether responses follow the prompt and remain logically consistent.

What it pays and takes

This is part-time contract work with a commitment of at least 20 hours per week. Candidates must be able to work in Malayalam and English and bring strong language, editing, translation, or related professional experience.

• Pay: $20 per hour.
• Time: 20 or more hours per week.
• Work arrangement: Part-time contract work.
• Open to candidates in India, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
• Language: Fluent Malayalam reading and writing ability.
• Language: Professional English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
• Education or background: Linguistics, Malayalam or English literature, communications, journalism, translation, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: At least 3 years in writing, editing, localization, translation, content quality assurance, journalism, education, or similar language-focused work.
• Skills: Strong Malayalam grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and register knowledge.
• Preferred: Experience with AI data training, translation quality assurance, editorial quality assurance, or rubric-based evaluation.
