The work

You will evaluate whether AI-generated responses correctly handle military and international legal questions. The work focuses on lawful policy review, military support constraints, rules of engagement, legal uncertainty, and the boundaries of lawful and unlawful conduct.

You will also help distinguish legitimate legal questions from cases where a model refuses a question without enough reason. Your feedback may be written or verbal, and you will work with other subject-matter experts on disputed cases.

  • Develop detailed scenarios about lawful policy review and the limits of military support.
  • Review and validate boundaries using the law of armed conflict, international law, and rules of engagement.
  • Assess model responses for legal soundness, clear limits, and appropriate treatment of uncertainty.
  • Provide clear analysis of complex legal issues and collaborate on difficult cases.

What it pays and takes

This is a remote, part-time contractor opportunity focused on reviewing legal reasoning, boundary cases, and model behavior. No prior AI experience is required, but the role calls for substantial military and international-law expertise.
