PDF Document Annotation Specialist

The work

You will annotate PDF documents so AI systems can understand their structure. The work combines precise visual labeling with careful judgment when pages contain complex layouts or unclear cases.

• Draw tight bounding boxes around text blocks, tables, figures, captions, headers, and key-value structures.
• Classify each annotated element according to project guidelines.
• Preserve the correct reading order and logical structure of each document.
• Handle multi-column text, forms, tables, and rotated pages.
• Apply instructions consistently and flag unclear cases or gaps in the guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow data security expectations.

What it pays and takes

• Pay: $3 per hour.
• Schedule: Part-time work requiring 20+ hours per week.
• Location: Open to candidates in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand, and the Philippines.
• Language: Fluent in English.
• Education: A bachelor's degree in any field is required, with preference for technology, engineering, or data-related disciplines.
• Experience: 6 months to 2+ years of experience in data annotation, labeling, or similar work is preferred.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, careful rule-following, and a basic understanding of text blocks, tables, forms, and figures.
• A plus: Familiarity with annotation tools or platforms.
