The work

As a Spanish Quality Assurance Lead, you will review AI-generated Spanish content and trainer and QA submissions. You will assess accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural fit, meaning, instruction-following, formatting, and rubric adherence.

You will give clear written feedback, escalate serious or repeated issues, and answer questions about Spanish wording, translation fidelity, terminology, localization, and register. You will also help improve workflows and keep trainers and QAs aligned as projects change.

  • Review Spanish AI-generated content and trainer and QA submissions for quality and consistency.
  • Identify mistranslations, awkward wording, incorrect register, missing accents, unsupported claims, ambiguity, and terminology problems.
  • Communicate quality expectations, project updates, and workflow changes to trainers and QAs.
  • Maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
  • Support onboarding and training calls for trainers and QAs.
  • Track inactive contributors and support follow-up to help reactivate them.
  • Help identify process gaps and improve Spanish-language QA workflows.

What it pays and takes

This is a part-time contractor role for someone with strong Spanish language-review skills and the ability to work with detailed quality rubrics. Experience leading or supporting remote teams is helpful but not required.

  • Pay: $30 to $40 per hour.
  • Time: 20+ hours per week.
  • Location: Open to candidates in Mexico, Spain, and the United States.
  • Languages: Fluent Spanish with strong reading and writing ability, plus strong English communication skills.
  • Experience: Spanish writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, or a related language-review workflow.
  • Knowledge: Spanish grammar, spelling, punctuation, accents, tone, register, and cultural context.
  • Regional coverage: Comfort with Latin American Spanish, European Spanish, or both, including adapting content for different audiences.
  • Preferred: Experience with AI training, data annotation, language-model evaluation, or rubric-based QA.
  • Helpful: A degree in Spanish, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Tools: Familiarity with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, or project management systems.

About AI training work

AI training is the human work behind systems that generate and understand content. People review examples, rate model outputs, and provide feedback so AI systems become more accurate, useful, and consistent; language specialists are especially important when quality depends on grammar, meaning, tone, and cultural context.

How OpenTrain AI pays and hires
