Mercor is hiring Senior Software Engineers to work on a project with a leading AI research lab. You'll apply your open-source engineering experience to real software engineering work.

You're a good fit if you:

Work as a Senior, Staff or Principal Software Engineer (or equivalent senior individual contributor)
Actively contribute to open-source projects, with merged pull requests or commits in the last 6 months
Maintain or contribute to projects with real adoption, such as 100+ GitHub stars or clear package usage

How Mercor pays and hires

Weekly. Mercor pays hourly contractors every Wednesday around noon Pacific for the prior work week, through Stripe (or Wise where Stripe isn't available). Stripe holds your first payout for 7 days, and standard Stripe transfers reach your bank within up to 5 business days; Wise transfers usually arrive within about an hour once you accept them.

You apply to a specific listing with your resume, then take a recorded AI interview (about 20 minutes). Completed interviews carry over to other listings that use the same one.
