The Work

You will assess AI-generated and human-edited videos against professional post-production standards. The work combines editorial judgment with detailed checks of visual and audio delivery.

You will also create editing scenarios, reference examples, quality assessments, and structured feedback grounded in post-production standards.

  • Review pacing, continuity, transitions, shot selection, storytelling, visual consistency, and overall production quality.
  • Find dropped frames, frame-rate inconsistencies, codec and export problems, color mismatches, audio synchronization issues, and compression artifacts.
  • Compare video outputs for visual artifacts, temporal inconsistencies, unnatural motion, and other editing-quality concerns.
  • Check work against creative briefs, editing instructions, style guides, technical specifications, and project rubrics.
  • Explain issues and recommend corrections using professional video-editing terminology.

What It Pays and Takes

This is remote, part-time contractor work. The role requires careful analysis, clear written communication, and professional video-editing experience.

  • Pay: $25 to $51 USD per hour.
  • Time: 20 or more hours per week.
  • Location: Open to candidates in Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Colombia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Czechia, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and the United States.
  • Language: Strong written English.
  • Experience: At least five years of professional video editing experience in film, television, broadcast, advertising, commercial production, digital media, or a related post-production environment.
  • Editing systems: Advanced proficiency in at least two non-linear editing systems. Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve are preferred; Avid Media Composer or Final Cut Pro experience is also valuable.
  • Relevant backgrounds include lead or senior editor, post-production supervisor, quality control coordinator, or a comparable quality-focused role.
  • Skills: Strong editing fundamentals and knowledge of video technical standards, plus experience with color, audio, subtitles, captions, or motion graphics.
  • Application materials: A shareable professional video demo reel or portfolio.
