We need native Arabic-United Arab Emirates (Gulf) speakers for a speech recording project. Your recordings help train AI speech recognition systems.

The work is straightforward. Read and record 500 short Arabic sentences using the Appen Mobile app. One session takes 1–2 hours.

You're paid when you finish, provided at least 90% of your recordings pass our quality review.

Requirements:

  • Native Arabic (Gulf) speaker in United Arab Emirates. Please make sure that GULF ARABIC language is listed in your Language Skills list before applying to the project
  • Age 18 or older
  • Smartphone compatible with the Appen Mobile app
  • Ability to follow recording guidelines

Demographic quotas apply. Task slots depend on region capacity. We'll contact you if slots open later.

If selected, you'll get an email from CrowdGen to set up your account and begin the project.

How Appen pays and hires

Monthly, judging by CrowdGen's fee terms (fees are counted per payment per month). Appen says it charges no fees itself; payment providers do. In the US, one ACH or PayPal payment a month is free, then $0.20 (ACH) or $0.25 (PayPal); PayPal outside the US costs 2%, capped at $20. Methods include PayPal, Payoneer, Airtm, local bank transfer, SWIFT and gift cards, depending on country.

Apply to a CrowdGen project opening. If you're shortlisted, you finish signing up from the welcome email, add your details, sign three agreements (including a Master Services Agreement), set up two-factor authentication, then continue to the project's qualification and choose a payment method.
