The work

You will review and improve AI-generated scientific content in biochemistry and molecular biology. Your work will help create reliable training data by testing whether explanations are accurate, well reasoned, clear, and safe.

You will assess content across enzyme kinetics, protein structure, metabolism, molecular biology, genetics, and laboratory methods. You will also explain corrections in precise written feedback.

  • Create prompts, reference answers, rewrites, and other source content for biochemistry and molecular biology topics.
  • Compare and rank AI responses for correctness, clarity, terminology, structure, relevance, and reasoning quality.
  • Check biochemical claims, mechanisms, pathways, calculations, experimental context, and interpretations.
  • Find flawed calculations, unsafe laboratory advice, misleading simplifications, unsupported claims, and overconfident conclusions.
  • Review figures, methods, units, concentrations, laboratory explanations, and data interpretations for scientific accuracy.
  • Provide written feedback that demonstrates careful and reliable biochemical reasoning.

What it pays and takes

This is a remote, part-time contractor role for someone with strong biochemistry knowledge and experience evaluating scientific work. Previous AI training or annotation experience is helpful but not required.

  • Pay: $30 to $85 per hour.
  • Time: 20+ hours per week.
  • Location: Open to candidates in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Netherlands.
  • Language: Professional English proficiency at C1 or higher for detailed written feedback.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree or higher in biochemistry, molecular biology, biology, chemistry, biotechnology, biomedical sciences, pharmacology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: At least three years in biochemistry research, laboratory work, teaching, tutoring, scientific writing, academic review, life-science quality assurance, or related scientific work.
  • Knowledge: Proteins, enzymes, metabolism, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, lipids, cell signaling, molecular biology, and biochemical techniques.
  • Judgment: The ability to assess biochemical mechanisms, pathways, figures, calculations, experimental interpretations, and scientific explanations.
  • Helpful background: Enzyme kinetics, protein structure and stability, molecular biology methods, metabolic pathways, laboratory protocols, scientific fact-checking, and clear comparison of competing explanations.
