The Work

You will help train AI systems to handle nuclear physics questions. The work uses AI-generated responses and reference answers, with a focus on accurate reasoning, clear explanations, and safety-aware scientific content.

  • Create prompts and detailed reference answers about radioactive decay, nuclear structure, fission, fusion, radiation interactions, detectors, shielding, nuclear energy, and safety.
  • Evaluate and rank AI answers for scientific accuracy, physical reasoning, unit consistency, calculation quality, safety awareness, clarity, and relevance.
  • Find unsafe or misleading radiation content, made-up facts, incorrect formulas, flawed calculations, unsupported claims, and overconfident interpretations.
  • Write precise corrections, rewrites, and model answers that show sound nuclear physics reasoning.

What It Pays And Takes

This is a part-time contractor role listed as entry level. Prior AI training experience is not required, but strong nuclear physics knowledge is the main qualification.

  • Pay: $60 to $90 per hour.
  • Time: 20 or more hours per week.
  • Language: C1 or higher English proficiency for detailed written feedback.
  • Open to candidates in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, and Malta.
  • Also open to candidates in New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Czechia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Netherlands.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in nuclear physics, nuclear engineering, radiation science, applied physics, engineering physics, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least three years in nuclear physics, physics research, radiation science, nuclear engineering, teaching, tutoring, technical writing, academic review, or related scientific work is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Atomic nuclei, radioactive decay, half-life, binding energy, nuclear reactions, radiation types, fission, fusion, detectors, shielding, and radiation safety.
  • Quality: Careful checking of units, decay chains, reaction notation, isotope terminology, dose concepts, calculations, and physical assumptions.
  • Work style: Ability to work independently, follow detailed rubrics, and maintain consistent quality.
