The Work

You will review logistics documents, photographs, inspection records, and shipment evidence for AI training and model evaluation. Your findings will help assess cargo condition, transport losses, securing methods, and compliance.

The work calls for practical cargo surveying judgment and clear explanations. Your written conclusions should be detailed enough to support a professional signed survey report.

  • Evaluate reefer temperature logs, condition records, damage reports, and compliance documents for possible issues and transport losses.
  • Review photographs and shipment records covering container integrity, loading, cargo securing, lashing, sealing, weatherproofing, and safety compliance.
  • Analyze finished-vehicle and food transport evidence to determine condition, likely cause, and potential loss.
  • Write survey findings and damage attributions with clear supporting reasoning.
  • Provide structured written feedback for AI models focused on cargo logistics and compliance.

This is a remote, part-time contractor role with a flexible schedule. The project is classified as entry level, while the work requires substantial cargo surveying experience.

  • Pay: $20 to $60 per hour.
  • Time: Approximately 10 hours per week, with less than 20 hours per week overall.
  • Schedule: Choose the days and hours you work, including weekends if preferred.
  • Location: Remote and open to candidates in the countries supported by the project across the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
  • Language: Fluent English.
  • Experience: At least seven years of cargo surveying experience involving reefer or temperature-controlled shipments, containerized cargo, cargo securing, or lashing practices.
  • Skills: Ability to interpret photographs, inspection logs, damage reports, and transportation compliance documents.
  • Skills: Strong analytical judgment, careful technical documentation, and clear written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with international transportation compliance standards and cargo condition and securing practices.
